Long Beach Airport has a significant role to provide another hub
in the LA area beyond the LAWA (Los Angeles World Airports) system.
The single terminal airport is noted for its ‘Streamline Moderne’ style
of architecture and is an historical landmark. Because of the
age and limited size of the current terminal, the City of Long Beach
selected Syska Hennessy Group to provide services for a new 130,000
sf terminal. Improvements to the existing facilities are included
in order to accommodate recent increases in flight activity and
future capacity.
