Syska Hennessy Group was selected to design MGM’s new 370,000 sq. ft.
headquarter facility in Century City, CA. The facility incorporates technical
and office support space on fourteen floors of a new high-rise office building.
The space includes twelve floors of production office spaces (TV, Film, Administrative
space, Marketing and Executive Space), a floor dedicated to editing suites
and a 5,000 sq. ft. data center. Included in the design are two screening rooms
(136 and 150 seats) and an executive 50 seat screening room.
Our team was asked to go through an extensive proposal and interview
process before this project began. We met with the owner and HLW
to discuss how our entertainment design experts would approach
this project focusing on how our experience in all aspect of the
entertainment design from editing suits, broadcast facilities to
screening rooms would enable us to present them with a unique and
innovate approach to their project.
