of St. Joseph's Care Center
Syska Hennessy Group is currently engaged to commission the Facilities
Service Building (FSB) for the New Patient Care Center for
St. Joseph's Hospital. The FSB will have a chiller plant capable
of producing 4000 tons of chilled water, high pressure steam
boilers with a capacity of 42,000 lbs. of steam per hour and
an emergency power plant capable of producing 4000 kW to support
the new facility. Syska produced pre-functional and functional
tests for the facility, working closely with the design engineers
and the General Contractor. Testing is expected to commence
in the near future.
On this project, the client has requested a construction phase
option that includes:
- Installation Check Lists
- Start-up Check Lists
- Test Script Production
- Witness Testing
- Commissioning Record
- Construction Observation
Major systems to be commissioned include:
- Boilers
- Boiler feed pumps
- Dearator Tank
- Chemical feed system
- Chillers
- Chilled water pumps
- Cooling towers
- Condenser water pumps
- Emergency power generators
- Emergency power switchgear
This plant is designed to support a twelve story patient care
center that is also currently under construction. We are working
closely with the owner and general contractor to efficiently
accomplish all commissioning tasks so that the FSB is prepared
to fully support the energy of the new tower.
