Introducing Syska’s Criticality Levels™

Syska's Criticality Levels Balance Sheet™

The term “Criticality” follows from Syska's “Critical Facilities” team having worked within millions of square feet of critical facilities, turning that experience into new industry best practices. Syska’s Criticality Level™ definitions document Syska’s approach which has been developed over many years for major financial and other clients. Syska’s Criticality Level concept is comparable in parts to data center “tier” levels used in the industry.

Various data center tier classifications have been in use for some time. These classifications have focused on power and other infrastructure as the primary failure components of the past. However, data centers are constantly evolving and Syska’s Critical Facilities Team has developed a newly defined and detailed approach to the levels of criticality for data, telecom and other critical elements, to drive a comprehensive balance of all parameters to a given Criticality Level using our Critical Facilities Balance Sheet™.

Syska Hennessy Group Critical Facilities are designed and constructed on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the ultimate in “Criticality”. Many of the existing facilities we evaluate are Criticality Levels 2, 3, 4 or 5, or C2 through C5 facilities.

Syska’s Criticality Levels address everything that is important for availability of a critical or hypercritical facility. Click to learn more >>
