Avaya is an internationally-located provider of communications systems, applications and services for enterprises. As such, their priority is to ensure that they have the necessary space and infrastructure to adequately serve their customers.

While on a project for Avaya, our construction team discussed Syska’s distinctive approach to evaluating data centers from all viewpoints – power, HVAC, security, IT, facilities management and how important that is to uptime. This resulted in our performing 29 site surveys in their other critical facilities located worldwide.

A team of engineers, security, IT and facilities management personnel journeyed to the far corners of the US, Canada, Asia, South America and Europe. The site surveys were done in approximately 28 days. Through our analysis we were able to identify the reliability gaps, and to give recommendations on how to close those gaps. Additionally, a capital planning report was created that detailed how much it would cost to bring their facilities to 99.99% reliability levels and how long it would require to implement.
