Reliability does not result solely from proper engineering. Peak
performance in critical facilities requires global best practices
in consulting, engineering, technology and construction. Our philosophy,
when designing and constructing a project is to consider all elements,
with a balanced approach, that contributes to uptime.
True reliability is designed, engineered, tested and maintained
throughout the continuous lifecycle of a facility. Our dedicated
national Critical Facilities Team designs, builds and operates
critical facilities, and it is only by “living” within
those environments that we are able to bring tailored, innovative
solutions to our clients.
Outcome E²C™: To an industry where
reliability is job one; the construction process needs to mirror
the practices and
activities of our most critical facilities. We create our team
with our own engineers and constructors to change the way highly
technical “live” facility construction has been done
in the past. Our collaborative turnkey construction process –Outcome
E²C™- means that construction thinking is integrated
into the design, operations are considered throughout the project,
and technical decisions during construction are made by engineers – not
contractors. We have achieved 100% uptime through all live facility
construction projects.
Commissioning: As a process, commissioning has
evolved from start up testing to what is now full life cycle commissioning.
This evolution has occurred because commissioning has brought such
value to the project in terms of quality control and reliability.
Now commissioning is evolving beyond the project end to include
post occupancy testing, seasonal testing and pre-warranty expiration
testing, even testing to insure moves and changes have not adversely
affected the performance of a facility. Sophisticated users are
finding that commissioning is, by far, one of the greatest enhancements
toward uptime and reliability of a critical facility.
Healthcare Data Centers: Technology in the healthcare
industry has increased astronomically over the years including
paperless environments, healthcare information systems, electronic
medical test results, and electronic medical records. What has
not yet been universally embraced is the reliance and dependence
that these technologies have on a data center – until an
outage occurs. We are helping our clients in the healthcare industry
make the move to a robust technological environment. They see that
uptime and reliability of their data center – that is their
mission critical facility -- is part of their critical mission
of providing quality care to patients.
Technology: Technology is
a rapidly changing environment. We know that designing a telecommunications
infrastructure that
is capable
of providing the flexibility necessary to keep pace with this
changing environment while maintaining reliability is critical.
Our design
approach is based upon worldwide best practices - balancing IT
uptime, facility design, facility operations and the unique technology
requirements of your business. Our philosophy is that true reliability
must be designed, engineered, monitored, tested and achieved
throughout the continuous lifecycle of a facility. This one
change in perspective
can change everything about how your facility is conceived, constructed
and operated.
