Hennessy Group, a national leader in consulting, engineering,
technology and construction, has joined The Green Grid, a non-profit
consortium of technology companies and professionals seeking

the globe.
The Critical Facilities Team at Syska Hennessy Group works for clients ranging
from Fortune 50 companies to entrepreneurial start-ups. They design complex,
highly technical building systems for trading floors and in emergency rooms,
in switching centers and bullpens, for ISPs and ASPs, on telco hotels and Web
hosts, with dotcoms and telecoms, in data centers and intelligent warehouses.
The firm formed a Green Critical Facilities Committee and is committed to integrating
critical facilities and sustainable and high performance building technology
to look beyond traditional design. Their philosophy is to design facilities
that maintain or improve reliability, reduce operating costs and increase environmental
responsibility.
“Reliability and sustainability need not be at odds with each other,
but reliability is always paramount. In joining the many influential technology
companies that are a part of The Green Grid, Syska Hennessy Group is looking
to significantly broaden the current dialog concerning new energy saving building
technologies that can be used in the critical facilities environment,”commented
Cyrus Izzo, Syska Hennessy Group Co-CEO and the firm’s National Critical
Facilities Director. “Peak performance in critical facilities requires
global best practices in consulting, engineering, technology and construction.
Our philosophy, when designing and constructing a project is to consider all
elements, with a balanced approach, that contributes to uptime and ensures
the greatest energy efficiency.”
The Green Grid is chartered to develop meaningful, platform-neutral standards,
measurement methods, processes and new technologies to improve energy efficient
performance of global data centers. Membership to the consortium is open to
