Syska Hennessy Group’s Vertical Transportation Team provided consulting and design services for a ninety-two year old high-rise building being modernized and expanded for the Federal Government in Chicago. The expansion includes combining new elevators and escalators with modernized existing equipment for an efficient and reliable operation. The design study to improve the vertical transportation system within the existing structure and enhance security and performance was the challenge we accepted.
