Scripps Women's Center

Scripps Healthcare is one of the most respected healthcare providers
in the State of California. Over several years the firm has provided
electrical engineering and lighting design services for numerous
projects for their facilities throughout San Diego County. The
following is only a partial listing of our projects.
Scripps Memorial Hospital, Women’s Center
The project renovates approximately 42,500 sq. ft. of the existing,
nonconforming hospital tower. The entire 2nd floor, 75% of the
3rd floor and a small portion of the first floor were affected.
A new elevator was added to allow patients immediate access to
the 2nd and 3rd floors from the first floor entrance lobby. Extensive
interior renovations provide for new LDRP suites, a well baby nursery,
level II nursery and patient rooms. New automatic transfer switches
were also provided. All signal systems were replaced or upgraded
including fire alarm, clock, paging, nurse call and patient telemetry.
Scripps Memorial Hospital, Cardiovascular Center
This new 11,000 sq. ft. cardiovascular center includes 4 new
GE catheterization labs with all the required support services.
One new automatic
transfer switch was provided to feed new diagnostic equipment
from the existing central plant and parallel switchboard. A new
cooling tower replaces the existing defective towers.
Scripps Breast Care Center

Scripps Breast Care Center
Working with Jain Malkin, specialty lighting designs were provided
for the new 8,200 sq. ft. breast care center to provide a calming,
soothing effect for the patients receiving care. Full electrical
designs were provided for this new facility located in the La
Jolla XIMED medical office complex.
Scripps Memorial Hospital, Emergency Generator Upgrade
This project replaces 2 existing 350kW gensets with 2 new 750kW
gensets. The existing 500kW generator was replaced with a new
generator for ease of parallel operations. A new distribution
board was added to the line-up to accommodate additional loads.
Remote annunciation was provided in the emergency room.
Scripps Encinitas Ambulatory Surgical Center
A new 9,000 sq. ft. outpatient surgical center located in the Scripps
Encinitas MOB. The facility includes 3 surgical suites, a 15-bed
treatment suite, exam area, offices and reception area.
Scripps Mercy Hospital
Numerous renovations over the past 10 years.
