A recent example of how Syska Hennessy Group provides consulting
and engineering services to support research operations is our work
within ICN Pharmaceutical's laboratory facility in Costa Mesa, CA.
Here, we helped design a 3,000 sq. ft. BSL-3 bio-safety laboratory
(high containment), along with a 5,000 sq. ft. vivarium.
Building systems for a Chem-bio laboratory
To meeting the clients needs for speedy delivery of the new facility
without disrupting existing operations, we established and delivered
the project on a super-fast track schedule, while maintaining uninterrupted
research operations throughout the renovation process. At the same
time, our design team successfully achieved ICN's goals of a closely
budgeted project with added flexibility for future expansion.
This project is the first phase of a multi-year planned renovation
of the Orange County headquarters of ICN. Syska is now involved
in the next phase, which includes our design and installation of
an expandable central plant facility designed to serve the energy
needs of the facility.
When all renovation is complete, the facility will be ready to
lead ICN well into the future.
