Pharmavite is a leading "nutraceuticals" company producing tablets, soft gels, two-piece hard shells and effervescence products. Nutraceuticals, sometimes called "designer foods", contain phytochemicals which are biologically active compounds helping to protect the body against certain chronic diseases including cardiovascular disease, arthritis and cancer. Their products, marketed as under the Nature Made and Natures Resource brands, have been well received by the public, and as a result, Pharmavite facilities have experienced an extended period of rapid growth.
To accommodate this growth, Syska Hennessy Group is working closely
with Pharmavite to help plan, design, and execute the relocation
of their manufacturing, distribution and laboratory facilities from
San Fernando to Valencia, California. With demand for their products
remaining high, it is essential that the manufacturing operation
remain operational while they relocate. Further, once the move is
complete, Pharmavite's goal is to increase product throughput. Ultimately,
their goal is to maximize efficiency and increase return on investment.
Syska Hennessy Group is providing these consulting services as
part of an integrated team of engineers, architects and laboratory
planners, known as the Alliance for Science and Technology.
