Syska Hennessy Group's New York Headquarters Relocates to Times Square
Syska Hennessy Group, a leading consulting, engineering and commissioning firm, has relocated its New York City headquarters to 1515 Broadway, in the heart of Times Square.
The firm was previously based at 11 West 42nd Street, and maintained a presence there that spanned a little over 30 years. Seeking to stay in the midtown Manhattan area, Syska Hennessy looked to the prominent, 54-story office tower in Times Square which is nearing completion of a $60 million redevelopment. Located between 44th and 45th Streets in one of the citys most visited areas, the new office is within walking distance of Manhattans main transportation hubs.
The new space is not only conveniently located, it is also much larger. Syska Hennessy leased 65,000 square feet, occupying the 14th and 15th floors. This is 10,000 square feet of additional space that will comfortably accommodate a staff of 250 employees. The location is a premier Class A office space with a divisible conference center, conference and teaming rooms, and open office workstation areas.
According to Co-CEO, Cyrus Izzo, We expect that the new office space will significantly enhance our existing high levels of productivity and morale. Co-CEO, Gary Brennen added, It will also offer a more pleasant aesthetic design, as well as the ability to accommodate the installation of current and future technologies.
Also important to the plan of the new office was the goal to make it sustainable and energy efficient, reflecting the firms ideology and reputation as a leader in high performance building design. Syska Hennessy Group provided the MEP/Fire Protection, Lighting, Technology and Audio Visual design which incorporated energy saving features. As such, the firm is actively pursuing a LEED Gold certification for its new headquarters.
